Richard has a broad civil practice, with a particular interest in commercial disputes, administrative law, digital assets and regulatory matters. He appears in all State and Federal courts and tribunals.
Prior to being called to the bar, Richard was a partner in the commercial litigation team at HopgoodGanim Lawyers. Richard has 20 years of experience as a commercial litigation solicitor.
During that time, Richard’s areas of specialist expertise included property, resources and mining, shareholder, joint venture and company disputes, regulatory prosecutions, professional disciplinary matters and all aspects of contractual disputes. Richard has run or been involved in matters in the courts and tribunals of Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, Western Australia and the Northern Territory. Richard has also participated in many mediations during his career.
Before joining the bar, Richard was the Deputy Chair of the Innovation Committee of the Queensland Law Society and was a founding member of the digital assets team at HopgoodGanim Lawyers.
