For more than 20 years, readerships have been offered by these chambers to assist counsel starting at the Bar.
The terms of the readerships allow new counsel the opportunity to start their practice with the support of an established group, and all necessary library and secretarial resources, at a modest cost.
Applications to commence readership after the first Bar Practice Course of 2027 are open. Applications are typically considered at least six months ahead of the commencement of the readership.
