Prior to being called to the Bar, Laura worked as a lawyer in the Dispute Resolution team at MinterEllison. She was also the Associate to the Hon Justice Rares of the Federal Court of Australia and worked at the Australian Law Reform Commission on its judicial impartiality and bias inquiry.
Laura holds a Bachelor of Civil Law (Distinction) from the University of Oxford, where she studied commercial remedies, restitution of unjust enrichment, conflict of laws, and civil procedure on the Jesus College & Law Faculty Scholarship. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts and Laws (First Class Honours) from the University of Queensland, from which she graduated as Valedictorian and with the University Medal in Law.
